MDespite a slight decline, the Casa-Settat region concentrated the largest share of business creations recorded over the past year: 17,389 companies or 34.4% of the 61,080 during the year 2021.
This region is followed by those of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra and Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima which recorded shares of 14.6% and 11.2% respectively, according to the OMTPME 2020 annual report. 2021.
For its part, the distribution of business creations by section of activity shows that the section trade, repair of automobiles and motorcycles represents a share of 29.6%, down 0.2 points compared to 2019. , continues the Observatory, which notes that this is followed by the Construction and Transport and warehousing sections, with shares established at 19% and 11.2% respectively.
The regional distribution shows a domination of Casablanca-Settat with 17,389 companies, ahead of Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (8,572), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (8,165), Marrakech-Safi (6,058), Fez -Meknes (4728), Souss-Massa (4041), Oriental (3378), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (2841), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (2156), Drâa-Tafilalet (1619), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (1452 ) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (681).
For administrative and support service activities and specialized, scientific and technical activities, the proportions of creations amount to 7.3% and 7% respectively, adds the same source.
As regards the distribution of PM business creations according to their legal form, SARLs represented 43.8% of total creations in 2021, marking an increase of 3.4 points over a rolling year. On the other hand, the share of the sole-shareholder limited liability company showed a decline of 3.2 points, or 55.7%.
With regard to business dissolutions, the report observes that following the drop in business dissolutions in 2020 compared to 2019, linked to the closure of courts due to the pandemic crisis, the year 2021 saw an increase in the number companies being dissolved by 52.2% to 8,284.
