Carthage Festival.. Ragheb Alama talks to “Al Ain News” about the “legendary concert”

On Saturday, the Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama performed a huge concert, as part of the activities of the fifty-sixth session of the Carthage Days Festival.

Ragheb Alama presented a bouquet of his famous songs, including “Ya Rit, I think you and I forget me, I am fond of Lail, Ghayeb Come”, in addition to his new song “Form 6”, which he sang for the first time on stage.

The stage of the Carthage Festival was filled with Tunisian audiences, especially girls. Ragheb was a huge public sign among the Tunisian female audience.

The audience interacted with Ragheb Alama, and children went to the stage to meet him and participate in singing excerpts of his songs that he presented in the nineties.

In the context, Ragheb Alama said that his love for Tunisia is not hidden from anyone, and that an endless love story links him with it.

He confirmed in statements to “Al-Ain News”, that during his evening he noticed the presence of the grandmother with the granddaughter and the grandfather with the grandson, saying, “Three generations I sing for them and they sing songs for me .. Even the children who presented my songs before they were born memorize them.”

He considered his trip to Tunisia a “festival of joy”, something he might not describe and explain in words.

He stressed that his concert in Carthage is worth 1,500 “clips” filmed in Tunisia, which translates the beauty of the country, the warmth of its people and the ancient history.

He said that he would like to shoot a “clip” in Tunisia with a Tunisian director, especially that Tunisia is characterized by exceptional beauty, adding: “In my previous videos, the director was the one who chose places and all the logistics, but this does not mean that I do not yearn or long to photograph in this country.”

Regarding the possibility of singing a duet with Tunisian artist Saber Al-Rubai, Ragheb Alama said that Saber is one of the most beautiful voices and is distinguished by a singing card that does not exist in another voice, but the “duet” is agreed upon by the companies.

The Carthage Festival, which hosts 33 performances, including 15 Tunisian concerts, 10 Arab concerts, and 8 foreign countries, will continue until August 20.

Among the names that will participate in the upcoming performances are Tunisian rapper “Balti”, Syrian singer Nour Muhanna, Lebanese Ragheb Alama, Saber Al-Rubai and Ziad Gharsa from Tunisia. Nour and Salim Arjoun.
