Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Tweeters circulated video clips on Twitter that showed Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, celebrating the Moroccan national team’s qualification for the quarter-finals of the World Cup – Qatar 2022.
The Emir of Qatar was keen to encourage the “Atlas Lions” team from the stands of the Education City Stadium, before expressing his joy and happiness at the team’s qualification for the quarter-finals, and he waved the Moroccan flag.
And Prince Tamim bin Hamad has previously expressed his support and support for the “Atlas Lions” team in previous matches, as well as for the teams of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia, during their career in the World Cup.
The Moroccan national team qualified for the quarter-finals for the first time in the history of its participation in the World Cup, following overcoming the Spanish national team in the round of 16, with a penalty shootout, with a score of 0/3, following the end of the original and extra time with a goalless draw, on Tuesday evening.
