The carriers indicated that the blockades will be carried out in at least seven points in Mexico City, in demand of an increase in the ticket rate, for which the capital authorities gave road alternatives.
Mexico City, June 2 (However).- The members of the Broad Force Carrier (FAT) arrived at the capital’s Zócalo following having started this morning with protests and blockades in demand of an increase of between three and five pesos in the ticket fare. Las protests They began at 07:00 this Thursday at different points in the Mexican capital, however, by the time the morning passed, most of them had been released, or at least partially enabled.
Around 12:34 p.m. members of the FAT began to arrive at the Historic Center and left at 3:21 p.m.

The carriers announced they will resume the blockades during the next week if the Government of Mexico City does not meet their demands, since the rejection of the rate increase has been maintained.
“If you don’t listen to us, next week we will resume some of the actions we have to do,” Nicolás Figueroa, a member of the Broad Carrier Force (FAT), told the media.
The Government of Mexico City explained that around 1,100 protesters attended the demonstration, less than expected.
“There was a higher expectation [de manifestantes] I do not put a number, but it was thought that there would be a much greater mobilization, and also that there would be more points of blockades, but fortunately it was not like that, it was not such a large mobilization and there were not so many points of blockade and they did not last either for so long”, said the Secretary of Government, Martí Batres.
He added that no injured people were recorded, despite the fact that in the Indios Verdes area there was a conflict between citizens and carriers who were blocking.
According to Andrés Lajous Loaeza, Secretary of Mobility of the Mexico City, until 11:00 a.m., only the Ignatius Causeway Zaragoza and Guelatao, from east to west, with the Centered rails released.

Lajous Loaeza shared that the three blockades in the north of the city have already been released: Insurgentes Norte and Calzada Ticomán, Calzada Ticomán and Acueducto de Guadalupe, and Calzada de San Juan Aragón and Ferrocarril de Hidalgo.
South of the capital there is no longer any blockade, since the 11 road closures have been released by the carriers.
To the east of the City, the complete highway was resumed on Avenida Tláhuac, both at its intersection with Periférico and with Agustín de Iturbide and Acueducto. In addition, in Calzada Zaragoza al Poniente and Guelatao only the central lanes are free.

Finally, to the west of the city, the block of Avenida Constituyentes and Paseo de la Reforma is already operating normally.
The demonstrators will carry out a march to the Zócalo of the city, where the different contingents that have blocked the roads on multiple avenues of the capital will converge.
Mobility specialist Federico Taboada explained that “dsince more than 3 years ago Government of Mexico City and 12 carrier organizations have held 66 work groups to try to solve different problems related to the service and the concession transport units [microbuses y combis]”.
There is a lot of misinformation and infodemic regarding the blockades that carriers made today in the city. I open thread and tell you.

As a result of these work tables, as he said, there are: the bjunkyards, the replacement of old units installation of cameras, the iInstallation of panic buttons and GPS and the bfuel subsidy money.
Likewise, Taboada argued that it is false that carriers have not received increases in decades since they have received a thousand 147 million pesos in fuel bonds, two thousand scrapped units and 10 thousand units with video surveillance, among others.
For her part, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, Head of Government of Mexico City, warned this morning in a public message that carriers, who have collapsed certain areas of the city with blockades, will not have the five-peso increase in rates because they will not they have complied with the improvements that were asked of them and also, because they receive billions in different subsidies and support.

“Citizens will not let me lie and will agree with me: they have not complied. It’s true: the rate in the city is the lowest in the entire country, but they have received support like nowhere else. […] We reject the excessive increase that they are asking for,” he added.

BLOCKS WILL BE REMOVED UNTIL 2:00 PM
Francisco Carrasco, spokesman for the Broad Carrier Force, said in an interview for Aristegui Newsthat the blockades in points of the Mexican capital will continue until 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. this Thursday.
The spokesman added that the demonstrations are taking place “because of the closure” of the Government of Mexico City due to the increase in the public transport fare, which, he indicated, should be eight pesos. “We ask to solve the problem, not manage it,” he added.

CARRIER DEMAND
The Broad Carrier Force said that its demonstration is due “to the silence of the capital’s government” regarding adjusting the payment for the use of public transport under concession.
Francisco Carrasco, leader of the FAT, assured that there is a difference of 8.59 pesos between moving a passenger between the RTP and the concession transport.
“Transporting a user in an RTP in 2020 was 13.59 and why do they want us to move it with only five pesos; moving that same passenger in the Trolleybus is 30.14 pesos”, he indicated.

Faced with this situation, the authorities of Mexico City yesterday ruled out accepting any agreement that “affects the popular economy” and called on the dissatisfied to establish a dialogue.
“We hope there will be no blockages. They can express themselves freely [los transportistas], they can do a big rally and there doesn’t need to be any blockades. If there are blockades, there are personnel who would attend to them in the event that these occur,” said Martí Batres, secretary of the government of Mexico City.
“We are open to dialogue, but we are not going to accept anything that harms the popular economy, for us that is inadmissible,” added the official.

The authorities added that the Metro, Metrobús and the RTP will work on a daily basis and at normal times to help citizens in case they are affected to reach their destinations.
