Minister Alejandro Salas explains the feasibility of the carriers’ demands

The head of the Ministry of Culture explained some of the solutions proposed by the current Government before the list of claims of the transport unions.

“These are measures that are linked to the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), and are also linked to the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC). As for the MEF, we have viable proposals from the Executive, which have been put on the table to the carriers, improvements in the operating costs of the carriers, in terms of updating the band within a period of 60 days,” the official said.

This refers to the fact that carriers will have a flat fuel rate for two months, so that they are not affected. This unversion involves a cost of 1,200 million soles, as explained by the official.

In addition, Salas pointed out that a subsidy of 20% of the toll price is being offered for four months, which would represent 200 million soles for the State.
