The province of Córdoba voted this Sunday for its new Governor, Lieutenant Governor and 70 seats of legislators. In addition, in 194 cities, towns and communes, they elect their authorities on the same day. The elections closed at 6:00 p.m. and they already met to see the first results.
Oscar Carreño, president of PRO Córdoba, assured that they have “a lot of restraint” and that the celebration of some leaders was given by “some operators who made a mistake once more.”
The president of PRO Córdoba also affirmed that a long night is expected with regard to the corrobation of data.
“In the Legislature we see an impressive election. We won many departments and towns”, he affirmed.
Carreño, according to his words, sees the election in parity: “I don’t know if the Electoral Justice chooses to charge which departments first. At our witness tables, we are up one point or tied. From the beginning it is very close ”.
“This election is either won or lost by very little difference, for both coalitions,” he said.
Like all the candidates for Together for Change, Carreño is confident but measured in his statements: “It is difficult to establish how it will end. In the capital we are five points down, but better inside. Inside we won by six points, according to the witness tables”.
“The polls said that we were losing by eight points and the reality is that everything is close,” he added.
He also stated that the low turnout and the number of people who voted blank should be taken as a message for all politicians on the part of society.
