The Brazilian wholesale brand is arriving in France, in Aulnay-sous-Bois, through the Carrefour group, following having had to retreat in Drancy and Sevran in the face of the mobilization of the left and the unions.

At a time when barbecue is a political debate, you have to expect anything. And the case of Atacadão might prove delicate for the left. With its “cash and carry” concept, that is to say self-service wholesale sales, the Brazilian supermarket promises cut prices on everyday products. An offer that is necessarily difficult to attack when the bosses of large-scale distribution are reluctant to lower their prices. Supported by Carrefour through its Moroccan partner LabelVie according to a franchise model, the first opening is announced for the first half of 2024 in place of the current supermarket in Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis). The operation will not be carried out without damage on a social level. After negotiations carried out at full speed this summer, the last round of which is scheduled for the 12th
