The tone is rising between certain teachers’ unions and the Minister of Education Caroline Désir. The former do not want the evaluation project sanction provided for in the event of serious malfunctions. The second does not intend to go back on its reform.

After four demonstrations organized last year, four teacher unions are threatening, this time, to slam the door of the Pact of Excellence. The evaluation of teachers, as in other sectors of the public service, they do not want. But then, not at all. If the unions agree on the need to develop the professional skills of teachers, the procedure that can lead to the dismissal of a named teacher is described as “unacceptable”.
