This Thursday, actress Carolina Papaleo was denounced by a former domestic employee, María Insembrante Peralta, who accused her of non-payment following a dismissal. According to Peralta, she worked at Papaleo’s house for six years and she was suddenly fired from it. The news was spread by journalist Fede Flowers on Net TV.
In an interview with Teleshow, Papaleo broke the silence and gave his version of the events. The actress explained that the former employee decided to go to mediation, and although since March 2, 2022 she has the money ready to pay her, she Insembrante did not show up.
Carolina argued that, due to the pandemic, she decided not to fire the employee when she originally planned to do so and that she even had the termination letter and money prepared.
“She is an employee of mine who, since I was already living alone, was honestly not going to have someone with a bed, so I settled her. She had to show up one day (following her vacation) and just when she had to show up she says she had COVID. I called her, because her vacation ended on a Sunday and then I had to dismantle that villa that she talks regarding,” said the actress.
“She told me that she wouldn’t be able to come that day, it was always those strange things. That’s when I sent her: “I’ll wait for you on Monday,” recalled Papaleo, who also assured that the woman would have answered: “No, not because Monday is carnival and then it’s a holiday.”
“What he says is not true, he always worked and always paid double the holiday, we all know this, right? “We all know what position I am in, so I know perfectly well that the worker is paid double when it is a holiday.” Given Papaleo’s urgency of needing it that Monday and the negative response of the employee who answered: “I have Covid, I’m not going to work,” Papaleo added, angry.
As for the reason for the dismissal, Papaleo argued that she is too old to be manipulated by “a girl.” “I was waiting for her with her dismissal letter and the money to hand to her,” added the actress, although she acknowledged that María never returned. Papaleo dismissed the complaint and stated that she cannot force someone she does not want to collect, since she has had the money available for more than a year and a half.
“It is not a complaint, she is not denouncing me, the only thing she did is that the lawyer sent a document letter because she wanted to go to court to mediate, but since March 2, 2022, I have been with the money in my hand to give it to them,” Papaleo made clear.
“It was she who didn’t want to understand that I can’t force someone who doesn’t want to get paid because they didn’t show up anymore. Now the mediation was done on Tuesday, so it’s not that she is denouncing me, she is doing something that I don’t know what it is, because what they believed yesterday in NET is that this will surely go to court. And yes, she is going to go to court because she is already there, the mediation has already been done because she wanted it, but I have been waiting for a year and a half, if I have already done the settlement,” Carolina closed, indignant.
