A colorful stream of happy moods, undiminished fun, smiles of children, teenagers and adults, bright faces, extroversion, inventive disguises, music poured into the streets of Patras, giving a festive look at noon on Saturday, March 2, with the Carnival Cycling Parade, organized by KEDIP- Patras Carnival with the cooperation of the Cycling Club of Patras.
Carnival-goers with their carnival-decorated bicycles and with colorful balloons, starting from Omonia square, flooded Gounari, Korinthos, Gotsi and Maizonos streets with their carnival “orthopetalies” and ending at Georgiou square. They were accompanied by the two musical floats, in one of which Maria Agouridis, the Grandmother of the Patronus Carnival 2024, gave the necessary carnival tone.
Arriving at the finish point, in George I square, the static interactive performance “Cosmonauts by the artistic group La Petite Marguerite” awaited the young and old cyclists. What can be done with a soap bubble? How is the magical, the fairytale, the dreamy born from the ephemeral, the useless, the insignificant? In the spectacular soap bubble performance, inspired by space and cosmonauts, Vasia Tsotsou and Kariophyllis Grozoudis, through a fun and educational participatory interaction, actively involved the little ones.
