Interactive theater events, creative carnival workshops, shadow theater performances, music and many surprises for the little ones will unfold in the Carnival Towns of the weekend, offering an oasis of fun, carefree, creative to all of us.
The program of the two-day Carnival towns is as follows:
Old Slaughterhouses
Saturday 17 February 10.00-13.00
-Interactive theater action “Carnival”, based on the comedy “Acharnis” by Aristophanes (main hall of Carnival)
The dance consists of the children – spectators who watch the performance and join the action.

-Mask making workshop (workshop room)
Under the guidance of instructors, they make their carnival masks
-Mixed-media workshop (workshop room)
With the assemblage technique, parents and children will make their own mixed-media painting.
-Workshop “Make your own float” (Karagiozi and K8 rooms)
After their tour of the exhibition of works by Andreas Angelopoulos, they first draw on watercolor paper the chariot they have imagined and then create a three-dimensional construction on it with pieces of styrofoam and the string art technique (with threads).

Saturday’s actions with the addition of the performance “In the foam of the sea” from the Shadow Theater of Christos Kalpouzanis in the Karagiozi hall.

-Shadow theater performance “The Patched King Carnival” by the puppeteer Konstantinos Laliotis (script, texts) in figures – sets by Nikolas Tzivelekis.
Sunday, February 18, 10.00-13.00 in Obrya (1st Primary School, Nikolaou Deve Street)
The shadow theater show “The Patched King Carnival” and the action “Some Harlequin” will be presented, with the animators of the Theater Workshop of DIPETHE Patras, Ioanna Tzamaria and Nikola Tsichla.
