Carmila and Red Cross Collaboration: Promoting Social Principles and Entrepreneurship in Spain

Carmila and Red Crossa humanitarian entity present in Spain, have formalized the collaboration agreement aimed to spread the social principles of both organizations and pursue joint objectives for the benefit of Spanish society.

The collaboration of the real estate company with the entity has been underway for several years through the transfer of spaces and has finally become official through an agreement signed by the President and CEO of Carmila, Marie Cheval and the Secretary General of the Red Cross, Asuncion Montero Fuentes.

The agreement includes as a novelty the commitment to “Impulse Employment Awards” project that supports entrepreneurs and self-employed people. An initiative that joins the rest of the actions that both entities have been carrying out in the Carmila shopping centers.

“Promote Self-employment Awards”

Within the framework of this collaboration and as a major initiative of the agreement, Carmila has supported the “Premios Impulsa al Autoempleo” project created by the Red Cross. These awards seek support entrepreneurs and the self-employed through financial aid and the dissemination of their business initiatives. In the 2023 edition, Carmila has collaborated in the Consolidation category, contributing a financial award of €5,000 distributed among three candidates:

● 1st highest valued candidacy: SUPPORT of €2,500
● 2nd highest valued candidature: SUPPORT of €1,500
● 3rd best valued application: AID of €1,000

These direct aid from Carmila will be destined to support entrepreneurs with consolidated businesses, promoting the circular economy and sustainability, and may be invested in concepts such as rental of premises, equipment, supplies, merchandise and marketing.

Red Cross activities in Carmila spaces

The signing of the agreement also reinforces the relationship that was already existing between both entities. The Red Cross will continue with its presence and activity in several of the Carmila spaces. A great bet and opportunity for the social entity that in recent years has achieved disseminate its activity through information campaigns and membership recruitment, volunteering, social awareness and activities related to employment.

“This collaboration represents a joint commitment by Carmila and the Red Cross to contribute to social well-being and promote the entrepreneurial spirit in Spain.
