However, team success was not granted to the ten-time All-Star, who was also elected to the All-NBA team six times (2x second, 4x third). Anthony never reached the NBA Finals and only made one Conference Finals with the Nuggets in 2009. Instead, the forward celebrated his greatest successes with Team USA. Olympic gold in 2008, 2012 and 2016, bronze in 2004. Now Anthony wants to devote himself primarily to his son Kiyan, who may also play in the NBA. “People ask me what I think my legacy is. It’s not my accomplishments on the field or the awards. My story has always been bigger than basketball. My legacy continues through you, my son. Now it’s your turn Time you took over,” Anthony said.
