Carlos Santana postpones concerts after alarming fainting on stage

Carlos Santana has postponed his next six concerts following suffering a fainting spell on stage on Tuesday during a concert, which will mean that the musician will be temporarily away from the stage “as a precaution for the artist’s health.”

Concerts scheduled for July in Noblesville, Indiana were delayed; Cincinnati, Ohio; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Rogers, Arkansas; Dallas, Texas; and Woodlands, Texas, Santana’s manager, Michael Vrionis, said in a statement.

“Carlos is doing well and is looking forward to getting back on stage soon. He just needs to rest,” Vrionis stated. “Doctors have recommended that Mr. Santana rest to make a full recovery.”

Live Nation will announce the dates of the rescheduled shows. All concerts scheduled from July 23 in Paso Robles, California through the end of 2022 are still confirmed and will go ahead as scheduled.

The legendary guitarist was taken to a hospital Tuesday following suffering from heat exhaustion and dehydration while performing at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, regarding 40 miles northwest of Detroit.
