But not everything in football is a matter of conditions. Talent is a fraction of the whole pie. Salcedo has been accompanied by endless off-field problems and his attitudes have been endlessly questioned by all the fans of the clubs he has defended. Now at Cruz Azul they have a new argument. At the end of the game once morest Querétaro, Salcedo organized a party for his birthday—which is next Friday, although apparently he wanted to celebrate early. At the end of the tournament we will evaluate everything and see what continues,” said the former goalkeeper. Now Salcedo faces a double dose of criticism: those regarding his performance on the field and those from outside, because the fans don’t let anything pass, especially following a defeat as painful as the one inflicted by Gallos Blancos.

It is true that footballers also have the right to a private life, but Salcedo’s party was questioned even by his own teammates. “We are professionals and not just on the field. It’s 24/7. Every fan puts in their money to see us play. The bad thing is that we are not responding,” said Erik Lira. “I found out a few hours ago. Tomorrow we will talk regarding that topic because we were sad, we didn’t think something like this would happen,” said Ignacio Rivero. Cruz Azul does not wake up and the problems keep coming. All because of a party that was inappropriate and insensitive.
