For her alleged participation in the crime of qualified homicide, the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office has an arrest warrant in force against María Isabel “N”, mother of soccer player Carlos Salcedo.

On January 31, a control judge based in Tonalá granted the court order, after the Public Ministry proved that the woman and her daughter Paola, who was murdered on June 29, are involved in the murder of José Félix “N”, with whom they were disputing an inheritance.

The ministerial authority obtained an interview with a circumstantial witness, who stated that at approximately 11 a.m. on March 5, 2023, he was accompanying the victim on her return to her home and at that moment they were intercepted by a man and Paola Salcedo Hernández, the latter began to insult José Félix “N”, making the following statement: “You’ll see, son of a bitch, you’re very comfortable with our family’s things, but your time will come. This is the last time I tell you to return what is not yours. It belongs to my mother and mine.”

Faced with this, the man simply responded, “Why not just now?” To which Paola replied, “I’m not going to do anything to you, but rest assured that I will tell my boyfriend to kill you if you don’t return what belongs to my family and not yours.”

A day later, on March 6, José Félix “N” was returning home, located on Río Linares Street, in the Atlas neighborhood, in Guadalajara, accompanied by his wife, when two subjects arrived on a motorcycle and pretended to be delivery men.

One of them allegedly pulled out a gun and told the man: “You son of a bitch are already loaded,” before subsequently firing multiple shots at him.

The man’s partner was also threatened by one of the attackers, who told her: “This is for Martha and Maria, you know who they are. You have a few days to return the inheritance or if you open your mouth about this, you and your children will die too.”

In the investigation file, the Public Prosecutor also included the statement of another witness to the murder, which supported the accusation against the mother and daughter.

Based on the facts, the Social Representative established that there was premeditated homicide and that the probable perpetrators, María Isabel Hernández Navarro and Martha Paola Salcedo Hernández, days before planned and prepared objective elements that, through a third party, deprived the victim of her life, since Martha Paola had threatened to kill him, which is why they decided to commit the crime in the future.

The data was assessed by the judicial authority, and on January 30, an arrest warrant was issued against both women for their alleged participation in the commission of the crime of aggravated homicide.

So far, the Jalisco State Attorney General’s Office has not complied with the court order, which is only valid for the footballer’s mother, since her sister was murdered on June 29.

It should be noted that Paola Salcedo died on June 29 after being shot while she was with her 4-year-old son, after attending a show at a circus in the municipality of Huixquilucan, in the State of Mexico.

María Isabel Hernández, mother of Paola and Carlos Salcedo, accused her son of being involved in the crime. “Justice for Paola! The real reason why Carlos Salcedo wants to leave the country is because he and his wife, Andrea Navarro, are the masterminds behind Paola’s murder,” the woman wrote on her daughter’s Instagram account.

The investigation into the femicide remains open, and the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJ-CDMX), after the arrest of José Iván ‘N’ and Miguel Ángel ‘N’, El Pecas, alleged perpetrators of the crime, announced that the motive for the murder would have been an attempted robbery.
