“I am delighted to announce that I will be joining Williams Racing from 2025. It is no secret that this year’s driver market has been exceptionally complex for a number of reasons and it has taken me some time to announce my decision. However, I am fully confident that Williams is the right place for me to continue my journey in F1 and I am truly proud to be joining such a historic and successful team, where many of my childhood heroes have driven in the past and made their mark on our sport. The ultimate goal of returning Williams to its rightful place at the front of the grid is a challenge that I will approach with enthusiasm and positivity. I am convinced that this team has all the necessary ingredients to make history again and from 1st January I will be giving my all to drive Williams forward alongside each and every member of the team.”
“I would like to thank James Vowles and the entire Williams Board for their trust and determination. Their strong leadership and conviction have played a major role in my decision. I truly believe that the core of every successful team lies in its people and culture. Williams is synonymous with legacy and pure competition, the foundations of the project ahead are very solid and I am looking forward to being part of it from next year.”
