Commissioner Carlos Ospina, who was part of the Truth Commission, resigned on Monday.
Who was the only retired soldier in the organization argued in dialogue with José Manuel Acevedo, director of RCN news that his departure is given because there is no space for his version.
Regarding the reasons for making the complaint, Ospina emphasized that the most important thing should be the victims, and everyone should be given visibility.
“Why am I going public and why am I doing it now? For two things: for my principles, for my ethics, for my morals, but above all for the victims of Colombia. Above all, that this central axis of the victims feels with a full, absolute, plural truth and everyone feels heard. And I want that part that is being made invisible to be heard”, he exposed.
Likewise, he denounced in the interview that the Commission’s final report would have political interests.
“I would think so (they seek to interfere in the results of the elections), for a very simple reason. When the responsibility in an armed conflict lies clearly with the State and its Military Forces, but the other actors of coexistence are left aside, another sector is being given political reason, ”he argued.

And he sent a message to the president of the Truth Commission, Father Francisco de Roux, whom he accused of not having given him his support.
“I would tell him that he was not careful and he was not supportive of me. Look, because I’m investigating this and because of the lack of support that he didn’t give me, my adviser is today exiled due to death threats. In other words, there was no action in favor, not even saying ‘that young man who had to leave, had to go nightfall and dawn in another country, what are we going to do with him?’, not a word of affection or encouragement, any”.
Bojayá Massacre: Comunes Party apologized, although it remains indebted to the victims
This May 2 marks the 20th anniversary of the Bojayá massacre in Chocó. Some people who were taking refuge in the church, in the middle of the clashes between the FARC and the AUC, were hit by a gas cylinder loaded with dynamite, launched by the guerrillas. It is estimated that at least 79 were killed and dozens more were injured.
The Comunes political party, which emerged from the Peace Agreement with the FARC, once once more apologized. “We want to apologize to Bojayá and all of Colombia for the events that occurred 20 years ago. War means a spiral of pain, we must put an end to it with forgiveness, reparation and non-repetition. We will make every effort so that the pain heals and this country knows that (the) violence will end”, said the movement of the former FARC guerrillas.

Rodrigo Londoño, political boss and former commander of the former guerrilla, known by the alias of Timochenko, sent a similar message. “20 years have passed since the terrible massacre committed by the disappeared Farc-EP in Bojayá. About these atrocious events we feel shame and deep pain for having martyred our people. We keep the hope of one day healing his wounds and receiving his forgiveness,” said Londoño.
It is not the first time that the former FARC refer to this fact and apologize for what happened, undoubtedly one of the most painful episodes in the history of violence in Colombia.
The first time they did it was in the middle of the Peace Agreement negotiations in Havana, when some victims arrived at the scene. They repeated it in a ceremony in which they were led by Pastor Alape.
On that occasion, Iván Márquez extolled the fact and also asked for forgiveness: “For the moving tragedy of Bojayá, forgiveness has been asked. It was not a forced act, but a very free decision from the heart”, said Márquez, today leader of the FARC dissidents.
