Again targeted by an international arrest warrant, the ex-boss of Renault-Nissan lives luxuriously surrounded by a disconnected aeropagus of a country which has sunk into a deep crisis.

Whatever he says or thinks, Carlos Ghosn must be overwhelmed by the new international arrest warrant which has just been issued once morest him by the court of Nanterre, for abuse of corporate assets, money laundering and corruption. Not because he risks anything serious as long as he is in Lebanon where the authorities who do not extradite their nationals prohibit him from traveling, but above all because this new procedure probably condemns him to an extension of his golden retreat constrained in his first homeland which welcomes him and protects him once morest the rest of the world which pursues him.

The former boss of Renault-Nissan, already targeted by an arrest warrant from Interpol, since his incredible escape from Japan in December 2019, hidden in a box of audio equipment, no longer lives thrilling adventures in a Lebanon in crisis where space is shrinking for those who still have the means to enjoy the good life. Seen recently at the intermission of a show in the vicinity of Beirut, he seemed out of place among a small assembly of bankers, former ministers or deputies, and entrepreneurs, smiling and chatting in gala attire, haircuts…
