Municipal was the team that made him known in football, where he played in two different periods from 1991 to 1995 and in 2016. He was a legionnaire since 2002, playing in two different periods with the LA Galaxy of the MLS.
FC Dallas was his second team in the United States, where he arrived in 2005 and his goals increased. In 2008 he returned to the LA Galaxy to play alongside the Englishman David Beckham y Landon Donovan. Toronto FC was his fourth team of his career and third in the United States.
