CARLOS Alcaraz, Friday (26/4), admitted it was difficult to imagine tennis without Rafa as he praised fellow Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who will soon end his career.
Nadal, a winner of 22 Grand Slam titles, will turn 38 in June and has made only a handful of appearances since January 2023, the majority due to a hip injury.
“I don’t want to imagine that. Like other Rafa fans, as well as other tennis fans, I can’t imagine tennis without Rafa,” said the 20-year-old tennis player following advancing to the third round of the Madrid Open.
“Personally, I want to see as much of Rafa as possible, every time he comes on the pitch, every time he can play.”

“I know what he wants, what he hopes for, and he works hard to make it happen.”
“If possible, I want to watch all his matches as much as possible,” he continued.
Nadal will look to advance to the third round of the Madrid Open when he takes on Australian Alex De Minaur, who knocked him out of the Barcelona Open last week. (AFP/Z-1)
