Carlo Ancelotti becomes the most capped manager in UEFA Champions League history by appearing in his side Real Madrid’s game once morest Manchester City in the semi-final second leg, his 191e match* in the competition.
The only coach to have won the competition four times, he is on the bench for the 50e time with Real and still has some way to go to beat Ferguson’s 190 one-club appearances with Manchester United.
His 190 matches, Ancelotti lived them with eight clubs: AC Milan, Chelsea, Bayern, Juventus, Paris, Parma, Real Madrid and Naples.
In addition to being the most experienced coach in the competition, he is also part of the very closed club which won the Champions League as a player and manageralongside Frank Rijkaard, Zinedine Zidane and Pep Guardiola.
