The Sunday preseason session of Caribes de Anzoátegui, the last of the week, featured the incorporation of right-handed pitcher Christian Hernandez, reported Eduardo Medina, a member of the press staff of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) club.

The native of the state of Sucre belongs to the Philadelphia Phillies organization this season, in which he played in the class A branch where he pitched 3.2 innings, later he was promoted to class A+, where he made six appearances as a reliever, working eight episodes.

In the month of May, he was promoted to AA, an important level in the Minor Leagues, where he wore the uniform of the Reading Fightin Phils. In 31 games, he worked 42.1 innings, with a 1-3 record and one save, leaving an ERA of 3.19 and a WHIP of 1.15.

Simulated duel

On Sunday, a simulated game was carried out with the work of the pitchers, Andres Sotillet, Yeizo Campos, Frainger Aranguren, Emerson Martinez and Wiliander Moreno.

For the start of week two, scheduled for this Monday, a warm-up session will be held again, with a new group of pitchers.

The practices, usually morning ones, will have the novelty that they will be moved to afternoon hours. Training takes place at the Jesús Rizales de Guanta stadium.
