End of the bad streak
Caribes needed a victory to shake off the bad streak and be able to get out of the basement of the qualifying table, taking advantage of the bad moment of Leones del Caracas, which was swept by Bravos de Margarita in a series of two duels.
The aborigines started the challenge on the right foot, as they went ahead with a couple of runs in the first chapter. Between the Dominican Deyni Olivero and Yorvin Pantoja they kept the salty offense at bay for four acts, but in the fifth chapter reliever Manuel Cachutt looked ineffective and allowed three runs, so that the visitor took control of the scoreboard.
The coastal team extended the lead with a line in the sixth episode and another in the seventh, to make the shares 5-2. However, in the eighth inning the eastern team gave a decisive turn to the scoreboard, against Guaireño reliever Anthony Castro.

**Interviewer:** Welcome, Carlos! Thanks for joining us today to discuss the recent match between Caribes de Anzoátegui and Tiburones de La Guaira. What a thrilling game! What stands out to you about Caribes’ performance?
**Carlos Mendoza:** Thank you for having me! The standout moment has to be that explosive eighth inning where Caribes scored four runs, turning the game around. Niuman Romero’s RBI single was particularly crucial, showing his ability to rise to the occasion under pressure.
**Interviewer:** Absolutely! It seems like this victory was much-needed for Caribes. How important was this win for them, considering they had lost five games prior?
**Carlos Mendoza:** This win was critical. Not only did it halt their losing streak, but it also lifted them from the bottom of the standings. They needed this victory for team morale and to regain some momentum, especially with Leones del Caracas struggling as well. It’s a turning point for them in the season.
**Interviewer:** Speaking of Leones del Caracas, they were swept by Bravos de Margarita while Caribes pulled off this win. How do you see this dynamic affecting the competition in the league?
