Carey Price had the chance to call the Montreal Canadiens’ first-round draft pick on the stage, but it really didn’t go as planned.
After being introduced by general manager Kent Hughes, the keeper took the microphone to say the name of defender David Reinbacher. Price, however, had a memory lapse when pronouncing the Austrian’s surname.
To err is human, and Hughes rushed to help the 35-year-old athlete, who had just spoken a few words of French. We can also hear Price repeating the name of Reinbacher, no doubt embarrassed to have forgotten his text.
“It was planned that way,” Hughes joked.
Carey Price later apologized for his poor performance on Twitter.
Boy that was embarrassing. Sorry David….. Reinbacher. ????????♂️????

Price is not the only one
Later that night, goaltender Pekka Rinne also struggled when he was supposed to announce the Nashville Predators pick.
