Os twitter users should be a little more careful when publishing something using the feature Wheel to a private group of contacts. After all, a bug is causing people who are not among those selected to have access to publications made on the blue bird’s social network.
Several people who use the platform are reporting that they are able to see tweets published through this feature, even if they are not within the “Wheel” of the user who made the post. In addition, it is even possible to interact with the publication, giving ‘Like’ as if it were any other publication on the timeline.
The “Wheel” function was released to Twitter users last year and allows a tweet to be viewed only by selected people. Likewise, only these people can interact with like and respond to these publications. You can choose up to 150 users to be part of this group.
That said, the function should make publications private for other social network participants, which is not what is happening. In fact, it seems that the platform itself was not aware of it and therefore, it has not yet corrected the problem, despite the various reports.
For now, it’s recommended to be careful with what you post using this feature, if you still want to use it to post something. Finally, also check out the various lawsuits that the company is facing following making mass dismissals of its employees in recent times.
