People who have heart problems should carefully visit grocery supermarkets in summer. In certain departments, the temperature is kept low; after hot weather outside, some visitors may have a heart attack. Vladimir Khoroshev, a cardiologist, warned about this.

“When we have the so-called anomalous heat on the street, that is, 30 or more degrees, we must be more careful when visiting hypermarkets. In departments that sell chilled and frozen products, such as meat, the temperature is sometimes maintained at no higher than 14 degrees. The capillary network can react very violently to such a temperature difference, ”Khoroshev said in an interview with radio Sputnik.

He advised the elderly and children under four or five years of age to avoid such sections of stores in the summer. Such a temperature drop is especially dangerous for people with problems of the cardiovascular system, the cardiologist noted. We are talking about those who have chronic coronary heart disease, suffered a heart attack or stroke. “Sudden temperature changes when visiting such places can lead to repeated heart attacks or strokes,” said Khoroshev. According to him, there may be primary cases among those who had problems with blood vessels and the heart. Khoroshev recommended not to stay in such departments for a long time and plan your purchases in advance.

The Russians were warned earlier that hot coffee drinking increases the risk of developing cardiovascular disease, including heart attack. This drink gives a diuretic effect, which can lead to dehydration, said doctor Viktor Lishin in a conversation with URA.RU.
