Carache Athletics is getting ready for the Estadal to be held in Valera

The Godoy Running Athletics Club of Carache is getting ready to participate this Saturday in the State Championship to be held on the Pedro Callejas track of the Luis Loreto Lira Sports City in Valera.

Adelis Godoy’s pupils, who are preparing from the La Cuchilla sector of the Santa Cruz parish, are eight athletes. Talents who will participate in the evaluation competition that is being carried out with a view to the National Championship to be held in Caracas.

There is expectation in the participation of four competitors of lower category such as Geimarlys Candela (1,500m), Raimon Alvarez (3,000m), Sebastian Peraza (800m) and Eliezer Valera (400m). They are the ones who aim for a ticket to the National.

“The rest are five children, who will go to a preparatory check-up to leave reference marks for the other competitions offered by the State calendar,” explained Godoy.

These are Franluis Godoy, Samuel Briceño, Hecmanuel Arrollo and Cristian Morales. Not only coach Godoy will accompany his boys to the Estadal, but also sports promoter José Luis Alvarado, attached to the Municipal Sports Institute of Carache (Imdeporc), as well as some representatives of athletes.
