The country registered 1,989 new cases of covid-19 this Friday, 1,978 due to community transmission and 11 imported, reported the Minister of Communication, Freddy Ñáñez.

Of the 11 imported cases, 5 come from Panama, 4 from Chile, 2 from Ecuador. All with entrance through La Guaira said the minister.
He reported that To the date there are 479,011 confirmed cases, 17,195 active cases and 456,386 recovered people, which represents 95% of infections.
According to the balance, there are 12,888 patients who are asymptomatic, 3,506 with mild acute respiratory failure, 554 with moderate acute respiratory failure and 247 in the Intensive Care Unit.
On the other hand, Ñáñez reported the death of 5 people to reach 5,430: 1 85-year-old man and 1 75-year-old woman from Caracas, 1 77-year-old woman from Mérida, 1 63-year-old woman from Monagas, and 1 woman from 72 years of Trujillo. “Condolences to his family and relatives,” he wrote.
And he added: “Remember that the omicron continues among us, for this reason it is important to receive the booster vaccine in this way we will avoid further damage in case of being infected.”
