Venezuela’s biggest winner, the Caracas Football Club leaves UCV to move to what was his home for many years, the stadium Brigid Iriarte. A stage that hosted great historical moments of national football.

Located in the parish of El Paraíso, the Brígido Iriarte is one of the oldest football stadiums in the country, inaugurated in 1936, and which has seen the Rojos del Ávila crowned with nine stars, two Copa Venezuela titles and four short tournaments. In this first home, the Avila team played for the last time in 2009, when they beat Atlético El Vigía 2-1 with a brace from Rafael Castellin.

The Brígido Iriarte served as headquarters for the South American U-23 Pre-Olympic Tournamentbetween the months of January and February of this year.

Rostin González, President of the Caracas Football Club, Mervin Maldonado, Minister of People’s Power for Youth and Sports, and Ninoska Clocierpresident of the National Sports Institute, were in charge of formalizing this historic return of the Rojo to its former home, along with the presence of the different media outlets in the country.

“This is a step forward. I am very happy to be able to return to the Brígido and see this become a reality. The Brígido Iriarte is our cradle, it is a value that we carry in our hearts and that will also lead us to live good times.”said the president of Caracas.
