In a confrontation with alleged criminals in the Las Brisas de Mariara sector, an officer of the Carabobo Police was killed, while two other security officers were injured. Apparently the attack was generated with rifle bullets.
The information, provided by police sources, identifies the gunman as Irvin Guevara. In the Simón Bolívar hospital in the town of Diego Ibarra are the wounded officers, whose respective identities have not been disclosed, although it was learned that one of them remains in the operating room, and the other was shot in the left arm.
Unofficially it transpired that the agents’ confrontation occurred with members of the “Los Guaricheros” gang.
