The rescue helicopter was in operation on Monday around lunchtime in the municipality of Eggelsberg (Braunau district): a 31-year-old racing cyclist was injured in a traffic accident.
The young woman was travelling on the L503 towards Aschau when the accident occurred at around 12:25 p.m. near the village of Weilbuch. For unknown reasons, a car following behind, driven by a 52-year-old man from Innviertel, touched the racing bike. The 31-year-old fell. She was taken to the Salzburg State Hospital, police said on Monday afternoon.
