A 47-year-old from the Gmunden district drove his car on Tuesday at around 9:20 a.m. on Gmöser Straße in the direction of Laakirchen. The man should have overlooked the red light at a level crossing and drove behind a car with a trailer.
At that very moment, a freight train came and hit the 47-year-old’s car. The man suffered minor injuries and went to a hospital on his own after receiving first aid. Train traffic was blocked from 9:20 a.m. to around 11 a.m.
