The 20-year-old driver – he was under the influence of drugs – lost control of the car in a construction site area, which crashed into a tree, a street lamp and finally into the facade of a company. An 18-year-old had to be cut out of the wreckage and all three men were seriously injured.
According to police, the accident occurred shortly following 10:40 p.m. The 20-year-old ignored the stop signs issued by the police during a check in Röthis (Feldkirch district). He drove off at a speed of over 160 km/h and also ignored several construction site signs in Klaus. An asphalt cut caused the 20-year-old to lose control of the car. The three men were taken to nearby hospitals.
