The Salzburg police and the Red Cross confirmed this to the APA. A total of three seriously injured people and three injured people were transported to the accident hospital in Schwarzach and Zell am See. The police assume that it was an accident, and the driver drove his car straight into a restaurant instead of along the bend.
A major operation was therefore carried out at Mittersill’s town square, with the Red Cross on site with six ambulances and two emergency doctors. A crisis intervention team also looked after a large number of witnesses who had witnessed the incident.
