A couple crashed their car over the platform onto the tracks of the Montafon Railway at the station in Vandans (Montafon) on Wednesday. Because the woman in the passenger seat, who was complaining of physical problems, suddenly fell in the direction of her 74-year-old husband, he lost control of the car. He drove over the edge of the platform, whereupon the car fell onto the track. No one was injured and rail traffic was interrupted for regarding 30 minutes.
According to the police, the tracks were free at the time of the accident, and there were no Montafonerbahn trains in the station area. The couple, who wanted to use the station toilet because the woman was unwell, were able to get out of the car on their own.
