Car crashed into impact absorber on the A7 in Linz: passenger injured

At the Prinz-Eugen-Straße motorway exit on the A7, a Czech driver crashed his vehicle into the impact absorber. The man (57) apparently remained uninjured, his 50-year-old passenger had to be freed from the car by the Linz fire department.

The injured person was treated by the emergency doctor and ambulance and taken to hospital. “The collaboration worked very well,” says operations manager Gerhard Krenn. Also with the police and Asfinag, who were also on site. The operation was over quickly.

The police said in the evening that the accident was probably triggered by microsleep. The car had to be pulled onto the road by the fire department and was then towed away by the ÖAMTC. One lane was closed and a traffic jam formed up to the Niedernhart tunnel junction.
