Doha: Two cyclists died in a car accident. The accident happened on Friday morning while traveling on the Alkhor Coastal Road. Lama Al Mohtasib and Deeb Akavi died. Qatar Federation of Bicycles and Triathlon condoled the death of both. The federation announced the news of the death along with pictures of both of them on social media.
Many people shared the news of the death of the two well-known people in Qatar on social media. Athlete and fellow cyclist Hadeel Rayad shared his grief at Lama’s death, writing on Instagram: ‘Yesterday was one of the darkest days for all of us. It hurts a lot when someone we know is missed. It breaks our hearts when people who are very close to us leave so suddenly and unexpectedly.’
