Officials of the Coordination of Investigations of Crimes Against Organized Crime and the Financing of Terrorism Villa del Rosario, arrested a subject who was part of the criminal organization “El Mauricio”, which is dedicated to extortion in the state of Zulia.
The detainee was identified as GD Martínez (26). He was in charge of driving the motorcycles used by the attackers of shops and homes of the victims who refuse to pay the sums of money demanded by “El Mauricio”, in exchange for allowing them to work in peace.
Due to the acts of extortion committed by this thug group, JR Echeto Morales (48), E. Bracho Portillo (28), a former official of the Scientific Police, who are in charge of locating information on the victims and capturing those who perpetrated the attacks.
Martínez’s arrest took place in the El Rosario parish, Rosario de Perijá municipality, where a Md Águila was found as evidence, without a license plate, used as a means to carry out the attacks and a cell phone, where the criminal connection is evidenced.
The case was made available to the 20th Prosecutor of the Public Ministry.
