Captured alleged robbers and drug dealers posed as police officers
According to the PNC, five people used DEIC vests to commit crimes.
Five people were apprehended in Alta Verapazaccused of impersonating police officers to commit several crimes.
As reported by the Civil national police is regarding one woman and four menapprehended at kilometer 508 of the Northern Transverse Stripvillage San Luis, Coban.
The arrest was made when officers intercepted a vehicle truck type and inside they found firearms, silencers, mobile phones and two sets of plates for vehicle.
In addition, vests and caps with logos and insignia of the Specialized Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DEIC) from Civil national police.
According to preliminary information from the PNCpeople would be involved in assaults, robberies and drug bustsin which they posed as agents.
A leaf with the logo of the Judicial systemwhich would have been used in a illegal trespass.
Those captured were identified as Karen “M”, 35 years old; Jairo M, 33; Victor “B”, 36; Edy “M”, 39 and Kelvin “G”, 25.
