The International Arab Watercolor Society organized an exhibition at the Dubai International Arts Centre. The event blended art with environmental awareness by showcasing the captivating paintings of Indian artist Anuradha.
Inspired by Jammu, Anuradha’s artistic expression transcends conventional boundaries, harnessing the power of watercolor to convey the intimate and sensitive relationship between nature and humanity. Her paintings depict the rich culture of Rajasthan, the seamless fusion with nature, and the spiritual essence that beautifully permeates her creations.
Abdul Qadir Al Rais, award-winning Emirati painter, said: “Anuradha is known for her influential artwork and championing sustainable art practices in the UAE. And it inspires other artists to embrace sustainability as an essential aspect of artistic expression.”
Yasser Al Gergawi, General Manager of Sandooq Al Watan and Chairman of Dubai National Theatre, added, “Anuradha’s paintings evoke a deep sense of beauty and self-reflection, along with her artistic vision and the transformative power of her work.”
On the other hand, Emirati artist Khalil Abdul Wahid praised Anuradha’s paintings, saying: “Anuradha’s paintings push boundaries and effortlessly blend vibrant colors with subtle details.”
During her three-week tour of the UAE, Anuradha was deeply impressed by the country’s effective sustainable environmental practices during the Year of Sustainability. Her journey has taken her to many prestigious places in the UAE.
“Through our unwavering commitment, we seek to elevate the UAE’s vibrant art community and provide a platform for artists to inspire,” said Marienmay Sebastien, President of the International Arab Watercolor Society.
