Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has triggered international criticism and sanctions. Cao Xingcheng, honorary chairman of UMC, recently proposed that Taiwan should be “all soldiers”. Since then, President Tsai Ing-wen’s statement that the two sides are not affiliated with each other is a “provocation” to the CCP, which will “force” China to use force once morest Taiwan, and will cause Taiwan to be repaired by the CCP like Ukraine, but he bluntly said that it can really bring long-term benefits to Taiwan. What is peaceful is the “two-state theory”. Taiwanese should unite and support President Tsai, and shout the two-state theory in unison, so that it will spread all over the world and resound internationally.
The full text of Cao Xingcheng’s article is as follows:
To defend the Republic of China requires a two-state theory.
Last (February) 24, the Soviet dictator Vladimir Putin brazenly invaded Ukraine with his troops, which shocked and angered the world. At this time, some people in the world are spreading specious remarks, saying that Putin’s attack on Ukraine was because of NATO’s “eastward expansion” and threatened Russia, and he was “forced” to act.
It is not so easy for Eastern European countries to join NATO. In general, many reforms in politics and defense, such as a substantial increase in military spending, are required to meet the high standards for joining NATO. Putin does not review why neighboring countries are rushing to join NATO to guard once morest Russia, but they continue to kill political opponents with terrorist methods such as poisoning, which makes Eastern European countries more wary of Russia. After Russia invaded Ukraine this time, the proportion of public opinion in support of joining NATO in Finland, which has always been neutral, exceeded 50% for the first time. Therefore, the so-called “eastern expansion” of NATO is actually the result of Eastern European countries’ “fleeing westward” and “self-protection” for fear of Russia.
If the strong like to bully the weak, of course the weak want to protect themselves. If some onlookers say that the self-protection of the weak is a “provocation” to the strong, it would be hard to agree. However, there are quite a few people in Taiwan who advocate this kind of erroneous logic. The representative person is Mr. Su Qi.
In recent days, Mr. Su Qi has frequently given speeches in various places, saying that President Tsai Ing-wen’s statement that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait are not affiliated with each other is a “provocation” to the CCP, which will “force” the mainland to use force once morest Taiwan, and will cause Taiwan to be repaired by the CCP like Ukraine.
In fact, what can really bring long-term peace to Taiwan is the two-state theory put forward by President Lee Teng-hui and Tsai Ing-wen!
Why does the “two-state theory” increase Taiwan’s security? Because if the world recognizes the Republic of China as an independent country, the mainland’s use of force once morest Taiwan is an act of aggression; all parts of the world can support Taiwan and sanction the CCP.
However, if everyone believes that there is only one country (the People’s Republic of China) on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, and that Taiwan is not an independent country, but only a province of China; China can claim that the disputes between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait are internal affairs, and it can prevent foreign interference and shut the door once morest it. Taiwanese are reckless and abusive; just as they can in Tibet, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong.
Taiwan’s proposal of the two-state theory can increase Taiwan’s security, and it will also increase the difficulty of the mainland’s annexation of Taiwan. Of course, Beijing roared angrily and threatened Taiwan with force. But since the two-state theory was put forward in 1999, the CCP has never dared to step beyond Taiwan. The reason is simple, because the United States will send warships into the Taiwan Strait if the CCP raises tensions. The CCP must first attack the U.S. Navy and Air Force before it has a chance to land on Taiwan. With the protection of the United States over my dead body, the CCP, which only knows how to waste lives on land and use human sea tactics, is completely helpless. Despite the desperate efforts to increase the number of navy and air force in recent years, the CCP’s military discipline is corrupt and rampant, and the production of weapons cuts corners and must be unstoppable. Moreover, in the past, the CCP lacked actual naval and air combat experience. If it wanted to challenge the experienced U.S. military, even the CCP army might not imagine what it would end up being. Ma Ying-jeou preached that “the first battle is the end of the war.” He originally wanted to intimidate the people of Taiwan, but in the end, he might intimidate the communist army.
Since it cannot invade Taiwan by force, the CCP has no choice but to use the frustrated politicians in Taiwan to continuously distort perceptions and provoke confrontation within Taiwan, hoping to lead to Taiwan’s weakness and civil strife. In addition, the CCP has also continued to spread distorted remarks, vilifying the United States and Japan, hoping that Taiwan will be provoked, anti-American, anti-Japan and self-destruction of the Great Wall.
Su Qi described the “two-state theory” that can protect Taiwan as a provocation by Taiwan once morest the mainland, which was obviously used by the CCP to frighten Taiwanese and reduce everyone’s support for President Tsai’s two-state theory. Hong Xiuzhu returned to Taiwan in February following meeting the chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Wang Yang, criticizing the 8.17 million people who voted for Tsai Ing-wen for being “brainless” and causing Taiwan to “fall into a corner”. This argument is consistent with Su Qi’s, and it is obvious that there is the CCP’s command and coordination behind it.
I am the second generation from other provinces, so it can be said that I was born with an anti-communist gene. I know very well the nature of the CCP’s bloody hands and mouths full of lies, and I have also done a lot of research on their various anti-nation and anti-human atrocities. Today, I see many friends from the blue camp in the past. On the one hand, they are confused by the superficial prosperity created by the CCP. Has gradually become the public enemy of mankind; this phenomenon is worrying. For example, Qiu Yi openly suggested beheading Tsai Ing-wen on Hong Kong’s Phoenix TV; Yu Muming said that peaceful reunification is too slow and should be reunified quickly. These remarks are simply anti-civilization and anti-human, and can be described as maddening.
Su Qi created the “1992 Consensus”, deceiving people by saying that the First China School can “all forms”. But in 2019, Xi Jinping slapped him in the face, saying that “the 1992 consensus is one country, two systems”, and Xi did not mention “all forms” at all. Without all forms, the Republic of China disappeared, and the 1992 Consensus became the consensus of Taiwan’s surrender to the CCP.
Ma and Su said their “consensus of surrender” might bring peace across the strait; if the people of Taiwan can really live under “one country, two systems”, that’s fine. However, Ma and Su may not have known that before 1949, more than 3 million Kuomintang military and catholic personnel who surrendered to the CCP were all killed in the “suppression of counter-revolutionary” movement that began in 1952. Underground party members who helped the CCP as spies were not only not rewarded for their meritorious deeds following “liberation”, but were also dispersed to various places, and were gradually purged in secret.
On March 9 this year, Xia Baolong, director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council of the Communist Party of China, said when talking regarding one country, two systems: “Fifty years of change is a philosophical concept, not a number.” I hope Ma Ying-jeou can understand the terrifying meaning of this sentence.
On June 20, 2013, sponsored by the Taiwan Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and co-organized by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Mainland China, a Beijing meeting was held at the Wenjin International Hotel in Beijing to discuss cross-strait relations; I was also invited to attend the meeting.
In his speech at the meeting, he said: The mainland requires Taiwan officials to first accept the one-China principle before they are willing to negotiate with Taiwan. Because once Taiwan accepts one China, it will be tantamount to suicide. The mainland asks Taiwan to “raise your head to see you” first, and then say that everything is easy to talk regarding; isn’t that a liar?
I went on to say that Lee Teng-hui’s talk regarding the two-state theory and Chen Shui-bian’s talk of “one country on each side” have overwhelming support in Taiwan, because what they talk regarding is reality and fact. In fact, it was Mao Zedong who created the two countries. He was originally a national of the Republic of China, but he did not abide by the Constitution of the Republic of China. How might Lee Teng-hui and Chen Shui-bian have the ability to create two countries? Only Mao Zedong had this ability. Why can’t the Taiwanese say the achievements of “the great Chairman Mao”?
Therefore, today Taiwanese should unite and support President Tsai, and shout the two-state theory in unison, so that it will spread all over the world and resound internationally.
If the CCP believes that the two-state theory is splitting the country, then the CCP should dissolve itself, because they are the culprits who split the country. After the disbandment of the CCP, the Chinese people can restore democracy and freedom and see the sky once more. Before the disbanding of the CCP, Taiwan should strengthen its combat readiness and cooperate with the United States and Japan to develop asymmetric advanced weapons. If you don’t rely on the enemy, you won’t come, and you rely on me to wait for them; the day when the CCP is allowed to invade Taiwan is the time when its party is destroyed.
As for the small number of traitors who are selling Taiwan and constantly spreading defeatism and capitulationism, they should refer to the methods of the United States and Europe during World War II and formulate appropriate national security laws to restrict their activities. Sending them back to the mainland and revoking their eligibility to return to Taiwan should be the minimum punishment.
