Canton de Zurich: Surprise visit of a cow in the canteen of a boarding school
Four animals ran away from their farm on Tuesday morning in the Zurich countryside. One of them even went to a nearby village.
Four cows took to the fields on Tuesday morning in the town of Seegräben (ZH). The animals escaped from the farm of a farmer who notified the police around 7.30am. The most curious of beasts did not hesitate to go to a neighboring village to visit a boarding school whose doors had remained open.
The cow snuck into the cafeteria before being spotted, police confirm. Few people frequent the establishment due to school holidays. “In collaboration with the farmer, we were able to load the ruminant on a trailer and bring it back to its pasture,” said a police officer. The other three fugitives had already been captured earlier. The animals are all doing well.
“That’s how she fell into the nets of the police! During an intervention in a neighboring town, we helped bring back four cows that had escaped. A cow even managed to enter a canteen, but her escape ended abruptly. With the peasant, we then returned to the pasture, ”tweeted the local police on Tuesday morning.
