It is a case of gloomy revenge that the Zurich justice had to judge. Indeed, a 55-year-old Swiss, divorced and living in the Zurich region, had an affair with a man much younger than him. But when the latter decided to break up, the rejected lover did not support it. He sent the young man’s employer a defamatory letter which earned him a conviction, reports Saturday the The New Zurich Times.

It must be said that in this letter, the fifties revealed that his young lover, a Latino, was gay, that he liked old men and that he “got really hot with men over 70”. He also described sexual practices without a condom and explained that the young man had profiles on several gay dating sites. The missive received by the employer also contained photos of the naked young man.

In addition, the rejected lover threatened on several occasions, via WhatsApp, the young Latino to denounce him to his Christian and conservative family.

Lower him in his dignity

According to the penal order of the public prosecutor of Zurich-Sihl, the 55-year-old Swiss wanted to present the injured party “in a morally unfavorable light” vis-à-vis his employer and deliberately lower him in his dignity. The order does not specify how the employer reacted.

The prosecutor concluded that the 50-year-old had damaged the honor of the young Latino and that he had spread facts likely to harm his reputation. He was sentenced to a suspended financial sentence of 70 day-fine at 30 francs (2100 francs) for a probation period of two years as well as a fine of 400 francs for multiple constraint, insult and defamation. The Swiss accepted his conviction.
