New Delhi – BJP is reportedly unable to influence the Christian vote bank in Kerala. The criticism is in the report given by the Union Ministers who visited Kerala. Even though there is a favorable environment to consolidate the Hindu votes, it is not possible.
According to the report, many people from other parties want to join the BJP, but there is no effective intervention on the part of the party leadership to bring them. The report also mentions that although the environment in Tamil Nadu and Telangana is unfavorable compared to Kerala, the organizational system is running better.
A committee comprising Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President J.P. Nadda examined the report prepared by the Union Ministers following direct visits to 144 Lok Sabha constituencies that were defeated despite the possibility of victory in the last Lok Sabha elections. Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta and Thrissur Lok Sabha constituencies were considered from Kerala. Union Ministers will once more visit all these 144 Lok Sabha constituencies during the period from October to January.
