Canon do Brasil won the Golden Jacaré Award in the medium-sized stands category, at the Caio 2023 Awards. This award recognizes excellence and innovation in the events industry.
Competing prominently in the technology and services sector, the winning project, entitled “The Charming Japanese Village of Canon at the SET EXPO 2022 Fair”, stood out for its creativity and originality in the creation and assembly of the stand.
Surreal Arquitetura Cenográfica was responsible for assembling the medium-sized stand designed to bring to life the atmosphere of a Japanese village.
The Caio Award, organized by Grupo Conecta Eventos and managed by the board of directors made up of renowned entities, such as ABEOC Brasil, ABIH Nacional, ABRACCEF, Academia Brasileira de Eventos e Turismo, AMPRO and UneDESTINOS, aims to celebrate excellence and innovation in the industry of events.
“Canon expresses deep gratitude to the Caio Prize for the honor granted. This recognition reinforces Canon’s commitment to continually raising standards, offering unique and remarkable experiences to participants at our events”, says Fábio Zuccaratto, manager of the Cinema and Broadcast area at Canon do Brasil.
The project was designed and supervised by Angela Paleari, responsible for Marketing in the Cinema and Broadcast area at Canon. “SET EXPO is an event where the biggest challenge is the assembly time, it only takes 3 days, including the exhibitor’s time, and as it is an event that has a lot of demonstrations of equipment that needs to be connected, calibrated and is super sensitive, It was necessary to create a safe structure and create a viable project to be assembled in such a short time”, explains Paleari.
Japanese village at SET
The stand has the setting of an old street in Tokyo with many scenographic elements, even simulating a second floor. A street was built with illuminated windows, niches that simulated store windows, backlights that referred to the storefronts and other elements. The product demonstration part was positioned on the perimeter of this street, on the floor of the pavilion, while the scenography was elevated, which gave more emphasis to the scene. On the right side of the stand, the products were tasting and displayed.
