Canon EOS R3 releases new firmware V.1.2.0, upgrading continuous shooting up to 195 FPS

It comes with the EOS R5 and EOS R6. Canon has also released a new firmware for its flagship mirrorless camera ‘EOS R3’ to version 1.2, this round upgrading the maximum continuous shooting capability. Up to 195 fps, it’s not a machine gun. You definitely won’t miss an important shot!

  • A ‘Custom high speed continuous’ feature has been added to Drive mode that can shoot 2-50 full resolution JPEG, HEIF, RAW images at a maximum continuous shooting speed of 30-195 fps.
  • for ‘FHD 239.76 fps/200.00 fps’ option in High frame rate mode.
  • ‘Depth compositing’ can now be activated during ‘Focus bracketing’.
  • Focus bracketing and depth compositing can be used with a flash (Speedlite EL-1).
  • Added a time-lapse video recording feature.
  • Add a feature Cloud RAW processing Process RAW images with the latest technology. (This feature requires a separate payment. which can be used from 25 July 2022)
  • You can now convert multiple HEIF files to JPEG at once.
  • Buttons can now be preset for cropping or adjusting the aspect ratio from the Still Image Crop/Aspect menu in Custom Controls.
  • Able to crop or adjust the aspect ratio during data transfer via FTP server.
  • 802.1X authentication/WPA2-Enterprise now supports PKCS#12 certificate format.
  • Increased electronic shutter sound when using mechanical and electronic 1st-curtain shutter.
  • Adjust the Digital IS image stabilization system in video work when used with a wide-angle lens.
  • add option [Auto Power Off Temp.: Standard/High] in the menu for still images
  • Fixed a rare Error Code 70 issue when Disp. performance was set to Smooth.
  • Other bug fixes
