Cannes Comedy Show – “It’s going to talk”, “The good big tackle”, “Are there some settling of scores or is it me?” : the twittos have fun with the spades launched at C8 and Cyril Hanouna

A backlash? This Friday January 6, 2023 in TF1’s new comedy show, the Cannes Comedy Show, several sketches targeted Cyril Hanouna and TPMP. For the twittos, of course, it was a settling of accounts in good and due form. In her talk show, Hanouna has repeatedly criticized the programs entrusted by TF1 to Camille Combal…

This Friday, January 6, 2023, TF1 had chosen to bet on thehumour in prime time. The channel broadcast its new program called Cannes Comedy Show, presented by Camille Combal. “Cannes, are you ready to pay yourself a good slice of it?”, Launched the presenter at the start of the show. On the stage of the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes, comedians took turns all evening. All interspersed with pastilles and happenings provided by Camille Combal and her friends.

The first guest to walk the stage of this new show was none other thanArnaud Ducret. The comedian and actor thus returned to his childhood holidays, the galley of picnics and trips without GPS. A few minutes later, it’s Kev Adams which happened. His sketch evoked his first name, which he considers to be a handicap and which, according to him, should have led him to a passion for tuning, his experience of sexual impotence, or even the little quirks of girls with their hair: “They need a holiday to wash your hair!”. The evocation of female friendship also led him to speak of their menstrual cycles which coordinate with each other: “they are nature’s wifi”.

Later in the show, whileIlyes Djadel recounted his studies at the Catholic high school, and his day of travel to Lourdes which was the occasion of a miracle, Florent Peyre said he was persuaded to be invited to be awarded an interpretation prize. Camille Combal therefore had to improvise a fake Cannes festival-style award ceremony to spare her (feigned) susceptibility.

That of Cannes was not spared. Tom Villa did not hesitate to titillate this southern public, decreeing that Cannes is “the city where there are the best dressed people in the world and the worst dressed”. He also denounced the excess of cosmetic surgery within the city, “There is a lot of plastic here”. But the biggest tackle of the evening was in fact made by Gérémy Crédeville, around 10:40 p.m.

“Arthur asked to say that?”

The comedian came to perform a personal song called “La Beaufitude”. To the tune of As usual by Claude François, he cited everything that makes up the perfect panoply of the beauf. In the list, “the caterpillar during the evenings”, “pulls it on my finger”, “tribal tattoos or barbed wire”, “dragon shirts”, “fries fries fries”, “health… but not feet”, or even “tuning”. But the most attentive might also hear him say “TPMP”, the initials of the show of Cyril Hanouna Touche pas à mon poste. A daring tackle when we know that Camille Combal has long officiated in this program as a columnist.

Since the departure of the host for TF1, Cyril Hanouna has not hidden his disagreement with the professional choices of his ex-little protege. On several occasions, he criticized the programs entrusted to him by the channel and accused it of sabotaging his talent by using him excessively. In this context, it is difficult to consider the tackle of the Cannes Comedy show at TPMP as innocent. The twittos them, in any case do not believe it! Especially since other references to TPMP, the Canal group and Cyril Hanouna have been distilled over the sketches…
