Cannabis factory exposed in North Jutland city: Now the masterminds have been convicted

The police had arrived at the address to shut down a suspected cannabis factory, and it turned out that there were 1703 cannabis plants and cannabis cuttings at the address with an estimated yield of 48.5 kg. marijuana.

The cultivation was managed by a 58-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man. The third person who was at the address was a 21-year-old woman, who was only charged with helping to cut some cannabis cuttings on the day itself.

The purpose of the cultivation was to pass the cannabis on to other people. It had been half a year before the police knocked on the door.

The 58-year-old woman and the 57-year-old man were also convicted of having previously grown and possessed 330 cannabis plants, which were subsequently handed over to a larger number of people or sold.

They explained in court in Hjørring that they had been forced to produce cannabis by someone from the criminal world. They did not want to get into who, says prosecutor Anne Sofie Jørgensen.

The two oldest were sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison, one of whom received a six-month suspended sentence, while the other received a four-month suspended sentence.

One received the sentence, while the other demanded time to reflect.

The 21-year-old woman was fined DKK 5,000, which she received.

None of the defendants has been convicted of anything similar before.
