On December 8, Catholics traditionally celebrate the Day of the Immaculate Conception, while on Saturday the 7th the Night of the Candles takes place. Reason that not only the fervent fans celebrate but also the candle manufacturing companies, which report a 20% increase in their sales.
With this traditional celebration the Christmas holidays begin and good wishes for the coming year and requests for those most in need are expressed. However, over time, this tradition has changed.
Now the candles are of different colors, as is their personalization, whether with names, stickers or wishes and intentions that people want to leave engraved. These changes seek to connect with people and boost the market, by offering a more exclusive product to the classics.
In Antioquia and the rest of Colombia, families prepare with carols in the background, buñuelos, puff pastries, custard and more to receive their loved ones. Although it is a season of celebration, the authorities remember the importance of the responsible use of devices that can cause fires and burns, and reiterate to parents and relatives the care of minors during this holiday.

## Back on the Airwaves: Trump’s Return to Network Television
**Joining us today is media analyst Sarah Jones to discuss former president Donald Trump’s upcoming appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Sarah, Trump hasn’t sat down for a network interview since winning the 2024 election. Why do you think he’s chosen now to break his silence?**
Sarah: Well, it’s definitely a significant move. As we know from [1](https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/trump-nbc-news-interview-meet-the-press-kristen-welker-1236235455/), this will be Trump’s first network interview since assuming the presidency again, and it speaks volumes about his strategy. There’s a lot of speculation about his agenda. Is he trying to control the narrative after a divisive election? Is he setting the stage for his legislative agenda? Or is he simply relishing being back in the spotlight?
**What can viewers expect from this interview? Do you think Kristen Welker will be able to hold him accountable?**
Sarah: Welker is a seasoned journalist known for her tough but fair interviewing style. She’ll certainly ask the hard questions, and I expect her to push back on any unsubstantiated claims or attempts to deflect. However, Trump is a master of media manipulation, and it’ll be interesting to see how he navigates this interview.
**This interview is sure to generate a lot of headlines. What impact do you think it will have on the political landscape?**
Sarah: It’s impossible to say for sure, but this interview has the potential to be a defining moment in Trump’s second term. How he handles himself, the messages he chooses to convey, and how the public reacts – these factors will all play a role in shaping the political narrative moving forward.
